Lifecycle Software Completes Three Peaks

16 Jun 2011
Lifecycle Software successfully completed their Three Peaks Challenge after a gruelling 28 hours on Saturday 11th June. All eight members successfully reached the summit of all three mountains and are on course to raise £1500 for their chosen charity St Margaret's Hospice.

The mountains climbed, in order were Ben Nevis in Western Scotland, 1,344 metres (4,409 ft), Scafell Pike in North-Western England, 978 metres (3,209 ft) and Snowdon in North Wales, 1,085 metres (3,560 ft),. In all the challenge involved some 42 kilometres (26 mi) of ascent and descent, with total travel approaching 765 kilometres (475 mi).

It was a fantastic achievement by the team after many months of hard work and commitment in training for the challenge. The team of mixed aged and ability consisted of Kim Craven, Kelvin Chaffer, Richard Turner, Ben Cole, Mike Knell, Ross Devereux, Adam Thompson and Russell Hole. They were assisted by their support team of Kim Ramsdale and Laura Chaffer who drove tirelessly throughout the challenge.

St Margaret’s is a charity committed to providing specialist palliative care, advice, support and respite to patients and their families living in Somerset and parts of neighbouring counties. Their care is available for those who have a terminal or life-limiting illness, for example cancer, motor neurone disease and chronic lung disease.

The team would welcome more support, and have set up a fund-raising website for easy donation at:
