Brown Bag Session #5

07 Aug 2013
Andrew Line talks about 'Best Release Practice'.

This week's brown bag session came from one of our senior developers, Andrew Line.
He discussed the best practices to use when performing a software release. He covered the 'tools' you'd need to perform it efficiently and what checks need to be made, before and after. What contingency plans are in place and tests need to be carried out to ensure a successful release.
This provided a good insight into this side of our business for those who don't regularly perform this task. It is something we do so often, and we can easily become complacent.
We're a learning company, so hopefully this has given some fellow employees some ideas on how to improve their own releases in the future.

We are extremely pleased with the service we have received from Lifecycle and the quality of their systems and staff.
