DataExkavator
DataExkavator provides a unified reporting environment that allows users to choose the formats in which they wish to work (XML, HTML, Excel, Bitmaps, CSV and more) and to schedule enquiries at times to suit them. DataExkavator delivers a Telecoms Reporting System specific to each and every operator. It provides network performance data, CDR volume information and alarm reports for network faults or misuse.

DataExkavator can be used as a stand-alone product which is both extremely powerful and exceptionally easy to use. The standard product is divided into Client and Server modules with a Browser-Based Report Viewer as an option. All the main functions make extensive use of guided graphical interfaces with intuitive features such as check boxes and pull-down lists.
DataExkavator Server: The queries and analyses which form the basis for Reports are defined in and run from the Server module. Most queries can be created interactively without knowledge of SQL, but provision is made for using a Script where appropriate. The data access permissions of each User are also defined here which gives precise control over who can see what. For instance, certain users could be allowed to see aggregated values of labour costs, but prevented from drilling down to underlying data.
DataExkavator Client: The Client module presents pre-defined queries and existing reports according to the User's permissions. The User can also create a new query, but only to the extent that he is rearranging or selecting from data which the pre-defined queries give him access to. The User will most often simply view a Report which has already been run, but he can also ask for an immediate update or re-schedule a report. Typically a User will start by viewing a summary report and then proceed to more detailed reports only where an exceptional value is observed. These more detailed reports are often drill-downs (in which an aggregated value, such as total departmental sales, is expanded), but can be orthogonal views of the business in which completely different aggregations are used.
Browser-Based Report Viewer: Reports can alternatively be viewed and customised from a browser-based viewer. This has all the functionality of DataExkavator Client except for the creation of new queries.
