DataSkope
Lifecycle's unique DataSkope product enables users to take any call or event record in any format and to map, convert, filter, validate and report on information in real time. Exception reports can be created and instantaneously delivered via e-mail and other electronic methods. Dataskope can process and display many millions of Call Data Records per hour and can implement almost any conversion routine with minimal loss of throughput.
- DataSkope not only provides a wide range of pre-defined transformations, but allows new and complex transformations to be created in a manageable form using both concatenated and parallel transformation objects.
- Developed originally for the real-time transformation of telephone call data into usable billing information, it can handle millions of records per hour. Today it will take data in any imaginable form - from plain text strings to encrypted packets to proprietary database records to XML - and transform it in real-time into a user-defined output such as standardised SQL records.
An intuitive graphical interface is provided for the set up and management of transformations which allows new or changed formats to be accommodated in moments. Other features include an 'Event Trigger' function which can be used in many ways, such as to generate an immediate email alert if a specific field in a processed record is found to be outside preset limits. This might be used as a continuous source file validity check, but could also be used for real-time fraud detection.
