We recently invited staff to nominate the charities they would most like Lifecycle to support this year. We are delighted to have chosen The Newbury Soup Kitchen as our Charity of the Year, 2021.
Despite the challenges of the pandemic, staff enthusiatically participated in a 1220 mile virtual race to our French office in Angers and back in the Summer, raising money for our chosen 2020 charities The Berkshire Women's Aid and The Necker Hospital in Paris. We were also delighted to purchase some essential sanitary products and toiletries for the BWA just before Christmas.
"We are looking forward to helping The Newbury Soup Kitchen, raising money and equipment for their new commercial kitchen and also offering some hands on support when it is safe for us to do so." said Lifecycle Marketing Manager, Nicola Hughes.
Newbury Soup Kitchen Founder and Operations Manager Meryl Praill has warmly welcomed Lifecycle's support, and has invited us to the unit when appropriate (Covid allowing). She is keen for us to meet the team, showcase the valuable work they do and demonstrate the more personal, caring side of the charity with their outreach programme and personal stories.
