Openings for university students

Lifecycle Software announced that the Placement Programme is now open to submissions with new placements for university students in Computer Science or Software Engineering type degrees. The annual Programme, created 20 years ago, has provided dozens of university students with a job opportunity in an innovative software company.

Kelvin Chaffer, R&D Director at Lifecycle, comments that the programme has competitive conditions. "As part of our team, placements can contribute to shaping how some of the biggest telecom players in the UK provide their services. That's exciting", explains Kelv. "Everyone is mentored by experienced Developers and will get the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects".

The placements involve analysis, programming, testing, implementation and technical support in a results-orientated environment, with a strong customer focus. Lifecycle offers a flexible working environment, with the possibility to work remotely or in a hybrid model, and offers a competitive salary package with a variety of employee benefits.

The role is offered on a full-time basis for an initial 12 month contract. Contracts may be extended based on performance for up to 15 months and impressive candidates are offered sponsorship for their final year back at university, as well as a graduate job following successful completion of their studies.

Emily Halsey, solution consultant at Lifecycle, tells how her graduate journey began. "I joined Lifecycle as a placement software developer nearly 9 years ago. During my placement I became part of the team and didn’t want to leave. Thankfully, I was offered a graduate position that I could start once I had completed my course and since then I have been able to shape my career significantly. From software development I transitioned into a technical business analyst role that better utilised skills I wanted to develop. Now I am a senior solution consultant responsible for working with potential and existing clients to help fit our products into their ecosystems and support them in growing their businesses. From here, who knows where next!".
