TM Forum’s Open API Manifesto is a commitment to developing and using open APIs to accelerate innovation and collaboration in the telecommunications industry. The Open Digital Architecture (ODA) is a global initiative to create a common framework for the development and deployment of digital services. The manifestos outline the principles that guide the development of flexible processes, including openness, interoperability, and scalability. The ODA manifesto has been signed by over 150 of the world’s leading communication service providers (CSPs) and technology vendors.

“We are excited to endorse TM Forum Open API and ODA manifestos and contribute to the development of this important initiative," said Kelvin Chaffer, CEO of Lifecycle Software. "TMForum’s standards are aligned with our vision for the future of telecoms, and we believe that our products can play a valuable role in the Open API and ODA ecosystem. We currently cover over 40 ODA components, spanning several Open APIs, and our ambition is to further propel the adhesion to open standards across our ecosystem”.

The ODA component library is a repository of open source components that can be used to build ODA-compliant solutions. Lifecycle Software's products are now available in the ODA component library, making it easy for organizations to use Lifecycle Software's products to leverage ODA-compliant solutions.

“In signing the manifestos, Lifecycle Software is showing valuable commitment to transforming IT and operations to be future-ready,” said George Glass, CTO, TM Forum. “The collective power of TM Forum members delivering the Open Digital Architecture and Open APIs is transforming business agility, customer experience and operational efficiency for communication service providers and suppliers.”

Signatories of TM Forum's Open API and ODA manifesto agree to use open, interoperable interfaces and APIs to build their products and services. They also commit to seamless interoperability, meaning that their products and services will be able to work together seamlessly, regardless of the vendor or platform. Additionally, signatories agree to contribute to the evolution of ODA, support the development of an integration canvas, and expect plug-and-play conformity with other vendors and system integrators. Finally, they agree to build and market these products and capabilities and share implementation progress updates.
